What if you don’t have kidney disease and are simply interested in prevention? Supporting a healthy pH and reducing the acid load on your kidneys is essential for anyone, and the nutrients, antioxidants, and phytochemicals in this formula can help to keep your kidneys healthy.

Kidney disease is measured in stages, where Stage 1 is defined by mild loss of kidney functionality. Your doctor may share information on your “stage” in discussing your kidney wellness.

Your stage is defined by how well your kidneys work to filter waste and extra fluid out of your blood. This is measured by the eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) test. The higher your eGFR, the stronger your kidneys.

An eGFR of 35 is at the bottom end of Stage 3, referred to as Stage 3b. Kidney damage at this stage is moderate, but you may not yet have symptoms. Defending your kidneys is essential at these stages.

There simply is no other magnesium supplement custom-formulated for kidneys. In addition to the alkalizing magnesium citrate, we’ve added six powerfully protective ingredients.

There is a misconception that you can’t take vitamin C if you are at risk of kidney stones. This myth arose out of an assumption that has largely been discredited by research.

Vitamin C is one of the most studied nutrients and is backed by the highest volume of clinical trials. We have an overwhelming body of evidence that vitamin C is highly safe for general use and for those with kidney damage.

Large-scale human trials conducted over 14+ years demonstrated that vitamin C does not increase kidney stones. In our extensive research, we have yet to see a study that shows vitamin C causes kidney stones. In fact, some studies suggest that vitamin C may actually decrease kidney stones.

We would only err on the side of caution in using vitamin C if you have very high oxalates and compromised liver function. Even then, we would recommend vitamin C immediately after getting your liver function back up.

Kygenesis® is formulated to support kidney function but we cannot recommend that you substitute these supplements for prescribed medication or recommended over-the-counter medication.
