“The five basic elements to life are oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, glucose and temperature. When these elements are put under pressure the body works to bring itself back. That’s when the magic happens.”
“The Wim Hof Method is an unbelievable tool for wellbeing. The Fundamentals course takes this further and takes you to health heights you never thought you could achieve.”
The Man Blueprint
Every year, around 100,000 Americans are diagnosed with some form of kidney failure. The most commonly affected are people over 60 years of age. The sad fact is, most deaths as a result of kidney disease are completely avoidable.
Your kidneys function as part of your autonomic nervous system. They regulate your blood pH, electrolytes, blood pressure, waste and toxin elimination, the reabsorption of glucose and amino acids, and the balancing of your natural chemistry.
A ‘dis-ease’ in your body occurs when this delicate balance is compromised.
Common causes of kidney disease and kidney failure, such as Inflammation, stress, oxidative stress, autoimmune disease, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar, are the result of a breakdown in your physiology, which greatly affects your body’s natural ability to regulate, regenerate and heal itself.
The Wim Hof Method is the perfect tool to compliment your treatment plan because it works to change your physiology, improve your autonomic nervous system function, elevate your pH levels, reduce inflammation, and boost your immune system.
“We’re on the brink of change of awareness and consciousness. Every person will be happy, strong and healthy. We’re awakening people!”
Wim Hof for Rolling Stone Magazine
What is the Wim Hof Method?
Based on three pillars of optimal health, breathing, cold therapy, and commitment, the Wim Hof Method is a series of exercises and technical practices that, when combined, have powerful healing results.
Breathing techniques
Breathing, as well as organ function, heartbeat and digestion, are controlled and regulated by your autonomic nervous system. This system works in the background on autopilot, so that all the essential eternal processes that keep you alive, operate without you having to think about it. By controlling the breath in a particular way, you can activate certain processes that will literally restore your body to optimum health.
The amount of oxygen we take in with each breath influences how much energy is released into the cells and greatly impacts our body chemistry and physiological activity.
By controlling the breath using Wim Hof’s techniques, you can influence the autonomic nervous system, which regulates your breathing and activates your body’s natural ability to repair and regenerate.
Cold Therapy
Frequent exposure to cold is linked with many health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, improved immune function, and improved sleep, all of which support kidney restoration.
Commitment
The right mindset, stronger willpower and self-control are vital to your healing success. People with low will power can tend to make poorer life choices, often giving in to short term pleasures (which may not be healthy), rather than long term goals.
People with strong will power generally cope better with stress, conflict and adversity. This pillar brings everything together and will ensure you stay committed and dedicated to your health restoration.
The Wim Hof Method allows you to dive deep into your own physiology, autonomic nervous system, and your immune system to repair your kidneys naturally.
Alkalise to stay alive
Why is alkaline important for kidney disease sufferers? Because every organ, right down every cell in your body, functions at a specific pH level (rating of acidity and alkalinity). Kidneys are part of a buffer system that maintain a healthy pH balance. If the buffer system reaches its limits and renal acid excretion is exhausted, chronic acidosis occurs. People with kidney disease are at higher risk.
The Wim Hof Method will support your system to reduce acidity by saturating your body with oxygen, increasing your pH levels to an alkaline state, boost your immune system and improve your overall physiology.
How does stress, loneliness and depression affect kidney health?
Studies show that stress, loneliness and depression alter chemistry and affect inflammation, cell regeneration and antioxidant production – all of which are vital to kidney health.
The Wim Hof method will support your physiology and body chemistry, boost your immune system, elevate your mood and endorphins. You’ll feel recharged and connected back to life. That’s good news for your kidney health.
Wim Hof got his nickname “The Iceman” by breaking a number of world records for his ability to withstand freezing temperatures. He attributes this ability to his Wim Hof Method.
He started experimenting with cold water when he was 17. For the next 15 years he would plunge himself into freezing cold water daily, as well as evolve his breathing technique, which lays its theoretical foundations in the ancient Tibetan Buddhist practice known as Tummo meditation. His parents were heavily into yoga so he was no stranger to the benefits of mastering the breath.
When his wife died tragically and suddenly around 25 years ago, he had a vision shortly after.
He knew that his breathing technique could help people all over the world, like his wife. He could bring people back to homeostasis and give them back control of their mental and physical health.
“After three weeks of daily practice, my medication has been cut by 80 percent!”

“The five basic elements to life are oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, glucose and temperature. When these elements are put under pressure the body works to bring itself back. That’s when the magic happens.”
“I’m only two weeks into the Wim Hof Fundamentals course and I’m already calling it the best purchase I’ve ever made.”

Wim Hof teaches science based techniques and practices in breathing, cold therapy and concentration in an at-your-own-pace learning format. Lessons and practices are unlocked one week at a time to give you time to absorb and practice what you learn.
A: The Wim Hof method is beneficial for those with kidney disease due to its alkalizing abilities. If you have epilepsy, high blood pressure (in case of prescription medication), coronary heart disease (e.g. Angina Pectoris; Stable Angina), or have a history of serious health issues such as heart failure, stroke, severe migraines, we urge caution about taking ice baths. It is always important to consult your health professional before starting a new treatment.
A: Although the Wim Hof Method has been known to bring symptoms into complete remission in some cases , WHM practice should be seen as a tool to help manage your health, rather than a cure. Positive results are seen with a wide variety of conditions.
There has been considerable scientific research into the Wim Hof Method and its effects on various health conditions, and the results are very promising. Results vary greatly from person to person, as there are numerous interpersonal physiological differences. Ultimately, the best —and really the only— way to find out what the Wim Hof Method does for you personally is to give it a try.
If you have any deviations to physiological processes that are directly modulated by WHM practice —notably involving oxygen influx, blood pressure and/or (cardio)vascular complications— we strongly advise that you consult a medical professional. Out of precaution, we also advise against WHM practice if you are pregnant.
A: The average daily investment is 20 minutes to start your day. During the day focus on deeper more conscious breathing. Once you have unlocked how to do the Wim Hof Method, you can access it indefinitely, and move through the stages at your own pace. The Wim Hof Method does not finish after our courses. The method should be implemented into your life daily to reap the full benefits.
